    Eve, I understand, and you have even said so yourself, that you've deliberately set this story up as a rollercoaster of ups and downs. But even knowing that I am sooo damned frustrated with Erik's great lummoxedness right now I can't even properly express it! (Your writing in this chapter is just brilliant to evoke this kind of visceral emotional response!)

    Maybe it's the video games I've played over the years but I can't help but see you setting up this Paul Haggarty as the Big Bad that they will have to overcome together near the end. I imagine this murderously-obsessed piece of human refuse finding Alex even in their remote mountain fastness and staging a full-blown siege with helicopters and a platoon of crack mercs he hired using those connections of his Alex mentioned him having.

    Haha, but this is an erotic romance, and in these fictions the powers of wild, lusty sex and healing, all-encompassing love overcomes all obstacles!

    Well, the sad part, Alex had a rough past!
    The positive result, Erik is letting out his emotions and getting emotionally involved with Alex!!
    One more thing, Paul stinks more than the combined fart of a million skunks!

    Gosh! I know that they're gonna end up together, but my God, the plot thickens so much and the journey is so hard. I suffer for these two. I was just screaming in my room: 'JUST KISS, YOU NUMBNUTS. YOU BOTH KNOW YOU CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF EACH OTHER'

    Solid effort, Eve. But damn, this is getting complícated.
