Thank you for all of the amazing content, Eve. I was a little worried when I started this series that there would be significant overlap with the Under the Covers series, but it was pretty much all new.

I think that the hardest part of the self-improvement journey is changing the perception of yourself, as Quincy mentioned. This is especially hard if you've engaged in negative self-talk for many years like I have, but all that you can do is open yourself up to the possibility that things could be different.

Realistically it wouldn't surprise me if I'll always be single, and that's ok. It's kind of a difficult pill to swallow because of how much emphasis our society puts on being in a relationship, that it can be hard not to feel like some horrible, broken mess of a person if you don't have a SO. I realize now, though, that I don't want to be dependent on someone else for my happiness, so I need to learn to be happy on my own first.

    Take care, Eve.

Thank you for listening! I absolutely agree everyone needs to be happy on their own first and foremost - you might be surprised, then, how much easier it is to find a relationship. It's counter-intuitive, but I really believe people tend to find love when they are least looking for it.

phew I finally got through all of these, and even most of under the covers.

I don't know if these will help in the long run, I really don't. But I finally see a path with simple things to do to at least start. Every other self help type guide has these very difficult things they want you to start with. Or they're too vague to actually do anything.

Just this morning I went out and bought separate shampoo and conditioner and a nice moisturizing body wash. I even went to a new restaurant because I wanted something out of my comfort zone (authentic ramen place, It was really good!). I'm going to my therapist tomorrow but I don't know how much I want to tell her about this website lol.

So thank you Eve, for these tiny things that are actually achievable. I hope this series continues, I honestly like them more than the erotic stuff (not saying those are bad at all, they're A+) because I feel like they last longer than a night.

I'm really glad to hear you're trying these small steps, I agree that too many self help guides are about changing your life completely. And I also agree that you might not want to mention this site to your therapist - it depends on the therapist of course, some of them are very cool. But you may be in for a lecture if yours isn't one of the cool ones. I say wherever you get help from, go with it. Thank you again! xox

I think she's a good one, I just told her about someone online who I think gives good advice and she didn't push me at all. I'm not at all the person to bring up the other side of this website at all, in fact just typing to you is way more that I would have done just a year ago. So once again thank you.

I loved both of these, part one and two. But I loved this one Quincy was so real and down-to-earth and I found myself nodding along with a lot of it. I was rolling on the floor when you said something about “because in real life people can have sex and then talk about fixing the toaster”! That is so totally true and so totally something you would say! There were definitely a couple of moments where I also had to “pause audio” on this. To absorb. Such as when he said “I wasn’t striving for things in life because I didn’t feel that I deserve them” I was like damn damn damn damn that was powerful! But he makes some great points in just the way that your just so real and so wise.
