I think you'll find it falls on deaf ears with everyone!
Austen was brilliant for introducing characteristics of regular people (like hypochondria) that normally would never appear in literature.

This was such a delightful reading! And I love the interpretation of Woodhouse as such a fussbudget, as his efforts to advise his female guests on the proper healthy dietary boundaries falls on deaf ears with Emma!
