Bedtime Rambles 2 - What I Find Sexy About You - Mr Darcy's Shirt and Hand part 1
Last time I talked about intoxicating hip movements and playful sexuality in Magic Mike XXL - this time I throw you back in time about 200 years to the time of Pride and Prejudice. Or rather, all the way back to 1995 and 2005 when movies were made of the story.
Now before you roll your eyes and go 'spare me another period drama with cravats, I beg you!', I'm just talking about what modern women found swoon-worthy about some scenes in particular. You can check them out here
The Derivative Famous White Shirt Scene from Lost in Austen
Trust me, this is Forbidden City knowledge right here!

Oh I love that scene! And you're right, there are so many mirror images in this story, how both of them are so much alike despite what they initially think.

I enjoyed this bedtime ramble! I was intrigued but kept thinking that maybe men and women aren't so different after all:
A girl's wiggle has a similar effect to guys: Fast & Furious Sashay
Wet shirts too Spiderman BTW, I saw an ad on Pornhub for the porn parody of this scene where Spidey drops a little lower and Mary Jane is kissing elsewhere...
Wetness in general, classic boner trope, hair all wet, shaking it out, getting sexiness everywhere, sheer fabric, drops of water following every curve...Wild Things
Even the little things like hands, a graceful, gentle hand, doing something as simple as brushing her hair over her ear can be a guy's dream: Zombieland
"Someones ear is endangered of getting hair brushed over it"

After finally being awake to listen completely, what I took is that it's the subtle things that are sexy or swoon worthy. Sure, a naked body is sexy, but it doesn't have to be the be all, end all type of thing.

Eve, you’ve done it again! A wonderful commentary on things I had kind of wondered about, but I felt kind of silly asking about. 💦 It’s the sort of question that you can really only ask your SO but it usually dies there with no further input. (Unless you are at a party that you really want to leave, in which case you should ask it and the rest of the room will ask you to go with their eyes and make a mental note to remove you from their day timers.) this brings me to another problem with his bedtime rambles, I love them so much and I love your work so much, that I did what I do with many things that are in my bed, at night, that I love......I went promptly to sleep. 😴 Unfortunately, you weren’t here to give me a kick and wake me up to finish the discussion.😯 So I’ll have to go back and do that later. I do like these, Please keep them up! Colin Firth…… My My!😛

Thank you, I'm glad you can get some answers! And don't worry about falling asleep, that's an excellent side effect.

I love these audios about what you find sexy. It really explains why some novels, movies, etc. are made in a certain way.
I get the wet shirt thing, another good example would be the cemetery scene in The Quiet Man, I guess. I personally find women more attractive when they wear sexy clothes (like fishnet tops and the like) rather than being just plain naked. I think is because of the intention to deliberately look sexy, and not just passively being attractive. I don't know if this makes sense.
And about how you make us want you so much that we lose our minds well, it is true that you make us suffer a lot, you cruel things ;-P

After "Last man in the world...upon to marry" -- it's more than just a quick glance. There's a definite leaning in from both sides. Misguided passion, raw passion, really no difference.
"Awful mother and awful sisters" -- haha, but they are hilarious! Reminds me of the hilarious 2005 scene where all the Benett women visit the Bingleys and sit on one sofa, and Elizabeth is across from them, clearly the black sheep of the family.
To add to the list of iconic 2005 scenes, this is my personal favorite. She's at the piano looking up at him (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qw434PkDOg). Witty banter, she teases him mercilessly -- "Maybe you should practice." It harkens back to the original time she turned words around on him: "Partner barely tolerable" -- she clearly loves irritating/embarressing him and it's done so well.
I also love this scene (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7G9WL9CAJVI) He jokes about well-read women and she slams her book shut. Another subtle visual treat.
