  Even though I am a late arrival to the treasures of this lovely Garden, in this case enjoying material that is a few years in the past, this series is hilarious and enjoyable! However, I feel I should offer some updated information about the Masturbation episode, to wit there is potential harm to extended male self loving if the activity involves maintaining an erection for more than about 4 hours. Because holding the blood stagnant, so to speak, in the erectile tissue will result in loss of oxygen to the tissue and tissue damage which may be permanent. This condition is called priapism. I experienced the onset of priapism on one occasion and my erection was not subsiding even though I was no longer providing stimulation. It was a very odd feeling and quite frightening. Fortunately it subsided within another hour and does not seem to have left any permanent damage. A warning about this is disclaimer on all ED drug supplement advertising now.

    Excellent point - it's no joke if an erection lasts more than 4 hours, it's Emergency Room time if it does.

  Jesus Christ, how come when it's always all female and the topic of the female orgasm or female sexuality comes up, it's condescending and patronizing. Not just here, but ANYTIME ANYWHERE it's brought up, why is there this fucking condescending tone or attitude with it? There's always a blatant or subtle patronizing "pay attention MEN" quote or tone. This shit doesn't make men pay attention (expect the weak-willed ones), it makes them ignore you.

  Wow, all the curious facts you ladies bring to our attention! Between the examples of Kellogg's/Graham, the anti-hysteria doctors and The Manipulator, it is not a mental stretch to see how unhealthy the repression of sexuality is, certainly when taken to Victorian extremes. I also read that they used to clinically term the female orgasm a 'hysterical paroxysm' and that the 'water cure' was another method of inducing these episodes.

  Coincidentally I'm in the middle of exploring a huge 1868 London in a computer game. The factories, dirty chimneys, steam-driven machines and locomotives, child labour, top hats, petticoats, coal piles, iconic buildings like Big Ben, St. Paul's and Buckingham are all there. So far it's ahistorically scrubbed clean of bawdy sex workers, although this class of working women may feature in an add-on about Jack the Ripper. Will be interesting to see how they are portrayed.

  From what I remember in human sexuality class, apparently, corn flakes (created by John Harvey Kellog) & graham crackers were initially created to reduce masturbation and not having excessive sex; basically not getting horny.... I know, I didn't believe it either the first time.
