The Friday Check-ins are always a treat, always original and thoughtful! This one seems a particularly interesting set of discussions and hypotheses, perhaps more commonly summerized as "your mind is playing tricks on you", lol! I can definitely attest to the sudden and unexplained urge to do something rash and illogical, which I was prone to in younger years! Thanks for continuing this series, providing our minds however briefly, a diversion from the chaos being imposed around us...

Aw, you're welcome! I wondered if some listeners may not have heard about these phenomena, and might actually think they're the only ones to ever experience it.

Thoughts on thoughts...I love it!
I had heard about "the call of the void" and I do like th French translation better. But I had never heard that it was a crossed wires thing in the brain or that it would change with age!
And it never occured to me to dissociate from my own thoughts. It seems so unnatural but it makes perfect sense. We can imagine things that know are not true so we should be picking the truth out of the imagination and fantasies and intrusive thoughts.
Thanks for sharing the fun facts!
