Just some thoughts from a sunny porch (even if it's just an airbnb :P)

Very well said, it will be about two to three years before we will think of covid like we do the flu

But, if you look at the numbers even from places like Italy that was hit hard a small percentage of the people actually got sick smaller hospitalized and even smaller died There are many new treatments coming the me we are working on has already gotten people off respirators and soon to go home

There is a lot positive going on. Please keep up what you are doing it brings happiness to a lot of people

    Thank you

It's been nearly 2 months of lockdown and I feel like life's settling into a 'new normal' (we're all hearing this phrase lots aren't we?). I'm still thankful to be working, not having to resort to EI or CERB, and the thread of mindfulness permeating your Eve's guides has been invaluable in helping me find a comfortable stride through these times (so thank you!). Practicing diligence & awareness has kept me healthy thus far, despite working near the public nearly every day.

What you said about finding joy is spot on. I've replaced the bus half of my commute with foot, and I've reaped the benefit of 5 lbs. weight loss with all the extra cardio. I'm also enjoying the lovely 2nd wave of blossoms in my neighbourhood. It's these little pluses that matter so much more right now.

I agree with MWL & Jason, the work you do is most definitely essential, Chief Morale Officer Eve! Be well and stay safe on your expeditions to Ancient Canada! :P

Thank you, be well yourself, frontline worker you! I shall continue my expeditions to Ancient Canada!

I feel for you and all the others stuck in other countries during lockdown. Hang in there! Your audios are essential to a lot of us, to help is not to feel lonely. Please take care of yourself and stay safe..

Thank you so much, that means a lot to me. Stay safe yourself xox

As "the Person you get ur meds from everyday" i get to go out and work throughout the whole thing, and still the whole quarantining already hit me way harder than i expected. We are used to kiss and hug each other where i live, and not beeing able to see ur friends or look forward to the next party or BBQ is really frustrating. But as long as you keep on doing what you do the world keeps spinning :p, so thanks for that + i have been absent from your webside for a while and have a lot of new stuff to dig threw during islation^^

I still believe that everyone of us has a chance to grow during this time.

To everyone in isolation watching "horror news" all day, i want to say that this quarantine is not a dooms day scenario but rather a reasonable precaution to prevent scenes like in italy or china.

as allways thank you eve and yall stay healthy

    and wash ur hands

Let me just thank you personally for being a frontline worker and for helping people stay safe and healthy during all this. We owe you and others like you so very much. You're so right, optimism is free and helps us more than doom and gloom does, no matter what turns life takes. Stay well xox

You must be having a tough time of your own too during this whole mess so thank you too for working on all these great audios!

I know it's not officially "essential" but I like to think of you and your audios as "essential"! I think you're absolutely right though. There's a ton of sensational news trying to take advantage of a crisis, every single hour of the day but we all need a bit of hope and positivity to get through this. And I think your attitude is the right one!

I love hearing your rambling and opinion on these kinds of things. You are always so practical and well-informed, but with a very warm personal touch!

    Please stay safe!

Aww, I'm thrilled to be considered 'essential!' I will keep producing as much as I can. You stay safe too! xox

Hi Eve! I've been silent for a while, but decided to log back in to say thank you for your optimism in this whole thing. I'm a fast food worker (I work at the Burger King in my town), and my hours have been cut currently due to less people being out and about, but I'm hanging in there.

I've been keeping faith (the best i can) that we'll get thru this quickly, and it doesn't help when I got a relative in my ear talking doom and gloom by bringing up the possible bad scenarios that could come out of this.

I try not to be the head in the sand type of person, but I don't think it's healthy to be constantly thinking about the negative what-if scenarios. I'm trying to stay sane, not feel hopeless.

With that, I want to thank you so much again for your uplifting optimism, especially in your latest sweet nothings audio! It's truly appreciated and needed in this dark time of uncertainty. Best wishes to you, Eve! May we all make it thru this storm together.

Thank you so much - we will get through this, the whole world is working together to beat this thing (well, most of it). We just have to stay patient, empathetic, and responsible, and we'll beat this.

In dark times like these, you are a bright light that shines through. Thank you for being here and making posts like these. 😊

You're so welcome - we all need to lean on each other these days (RIP Bill Withers 😢)

      • cubastank on 2020-04-03 22:14:35 (UTC)

Aww, I didn't know Bill Withers had passed. That's what happens when I stay away from social media. :(
